Through an agreement between the National Research Council (CONICET) and the National University of General San Martin (UNSAM), the Instituto de Investigaciones Biotecnológicas- Instituto Tecnológico Chascomús (IIB-INTECH) was created, product of the merge of both Institutions, with two locations, one in San Martin city and the other in the city of Chascomus, Province of Buenos Aires, Argentina. In the location of San Martín district, the IIB-INTECH is settled in two buildings of 750 m2 of covered surface each. Among its facilities it has an external animal house, a storehouse of 300 m2 and an Experimental Plant for the Beer Industry of 150 m2, located in Parque Tecnológico Miguelete, INTI. In the location of Chascomús, the IIB-INTECH is settled in a building of 5000 m2 of covered surface and an experimental field of 906 hect.
